A Year of Global Recognition
17th February 2026
Some milestones invite reflection.
In its first year, The EVE has been recognised on a global stage — not through spectacle or scale, but through a clear point of view. Design-led. Service-driven. Grounded in neighbourhood and quiet luxury. The recognition that followed feels affirming not because it was sought, but because it reflects how the hotel lives and breathes each day.
The year was marked by a defining moment: The EVE was awarded one Michelin Key by the Michelin Guide — an honour reserved for hotels that deliver an exceptional stay. It speaks to more than aesthetics. It recognises atmosphere, service, sense of place and the feeling a guest carries with them long after departure.
As Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of The MICHELIN Guide, notes:
“MICHELIN Keys now honour hotels that offer truly remarkable stays, where design, service, and location come together to create unforgettable moments.”
From there, the accolades unfolded across travel, design and hospitality. The EVE was named among the best new city hotels in the world by Travel + Leisure, while DestinAsian Magazine included the hotel in its Luxe List of the best new properties across the Asia-Pacific region. Closer to home, Australian Gourmet Traveller awarded The EVE Best New Hotel, recognising a debut shaped by intention and restraint.
Design — always central to The EVE’s identity — has been recognised not only at a hotel level, but through its dining and bar spaces. Bar Julius and Lottie have each been celebrated by leading industry bodies including the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards, Eat Drink Design Awards and the HM Awards, while broader design recognition from Luxury Travel Magazine further acknowledged the hotel’s design-led approach. Together, these honours reflect spaces that are not only visually striking, but designed to be lived in — places for gathering, lingering and return.
Bar Julius has been celebrated for both its atmosphere and its offering, with accolades from the Good Food Guide, the Australia’s Wine List of the Year Awards and international design juries. Lottie, our rooftop restaurant and mezcaleria, received a Good Food Hat and national wine recognition — a reflection of its bold, generous approach to dining, shaped by flavour, setting and ease.
What matters most is not the number of awards, but what they collectively point to: a hotel that feels considered, connected and quietly confident. One shaped by collaboration — from architects and designers to chefs, bartenders, makers and partners — and brought to life daily by the team who welcome guests through its doors.
As The EVE moves into its next chapter, these accolades are not a destination, but a marker along the way. A reminder to keep refining, keep listening, and keep creating spaces and experiences that feel meaningful, memorable and unmistakably of place.
